On September 7’th, the School implemented a new school-wide pick-up and drop-off schedule. These changes come as a result of heavy traffic congestion on Lincoln Ave and concern for student safety.
The letter sent by the School outlining the new plan asks parents/guardians to place a sign on the passenger side window stating the child’s name and grade. Additionally, the letter states students should be prepared to exit the car without the assistance of the driver.
Most notably, the plan introduces specific pick-up times for the lower, middle, and upper schools. Lower school guardians cannot queue up until 2:45 pm and are only allowed to pick up students from 3:05-3:30 pm, whereas the middle and upper school queue begins at 3:15 pm and pick up at 3:30 pm. If a guardian is picking up students across division levels, they are instructed to pick up at 3:30 pm.
Lastly, the School encourages students and parents to create carpools or join one of the school’s buses, as they believe “[it is] the most effective way to solve our traffic challenges”. Bus pick-up begins at 3:20 pm regardless of grade.
