With the beginning of autumn, the Bay Area is opening a multitude of exciting fall season activities. Despite the warm weather, people in the Bay Area can still be in the fall spirit by seeing colorful sceneries, participating in fun seasonal activities, wearing festive clothes, and eating typical fall food.
One of the best places to see the leaves change colors is the San Francisco Botanical Garden. In the 55-acre garden with several different plant sections, the Moon View Garden and Temperate Asia Garden are gorgeous areas to view the green leaves turning into vibrant red, orange, and yellow hues.
The Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco is another beautiful area with picturesque scenery and a great place to see the fall trees changing colors. With the koi ponds, various different plants, and optional authentic tea, this garden is perfect for strolling around during the fall season.
In addition to seeing nature change during autumn, many fall-specific activities are incredibly fun.. One classic autumn season activity is pumpkin picking– this can be done in Alameda, San Francisco, and many other areas in the Bay Area.
Another activity that can leave people excited, lost, or amazingly confused is adventuring through a corn maze. The Three Nunns Farm and Cool Patch Pumpkin are just two of many fun corn mazes in the Bay Area. Corn mazes can leave you frustrated and annoyed. However, finishing the maze is fulfilling and leaves one feeling accomplished.
During the fall season, apple picking is another fun activity. Apple picking at a local orchard will leave one with a rewarding feeling along with delicious, tasty, and scrumptious apples.
As it gets colder, the outfits people wear and the Bay Area and the School change. During the fall, many trends and outfits come into fashion. Jean jackets, comfy leggings, cozy sweaters, the flannel over a hoodie combo, and heavy jackets are constantly worn to stay warm while looking trendy.
Last but not least, as autumn arrives many cozy and delicious foods come to mind. For savory food: butternut squash soup, beef and turkey roasts, sweet potato pot-pie, pork chops with an apple sauce, and french onion soup are amazing options to make or eat during the fall season. On the other spectrum of food, some sweet treats to have during the fall season are pumpkin, pecan, and apple pies, pumpkin bread, and pumpkin spice lattes or frappuccinos.
Overall, the fall season presents a myriad of wonderful activities, experiences, and traditions that we all enjoy and cherish.
