Kora Shin grew up in Storrs, a rural town in Northeastern Connecticut. They came to the School in 2019 to become the associate director of college counseling. Shin’s pronouns are they/them/their(s), and they also go by Mx. Kora (pronounced mix).

Outside of school, they dance many different styles including hip hop, popping, and struttin’. Their other hobbies are working out, hiking, and spending quality time with their partner. In college, Shin participated in many sports, such as cross country and the javelin throw.

In addition to being a talented athlete, they also speak three languages: English, Korean, and Italian. Shin loves experiencing new cultures and seeing new places, so if they could have any superpower, it would be the ability to fly.

Shin’s favorite Holiday is the Lunar New Year because it is very meaningful to their family. One thing Shin would like the head-Royce community to know is that they are really friendly and “ love meeting new students at any time”.
