Are you tired of doing hours of mundane homework nightly and want to find a way to get rich quickly? Sports betting is the perfect pastime for you. Sports betting is an extremely high reward proposition for young adults looking to make fast cash. Results from the United States census show that 90% of sports bettors hit it big in their first two weeks of betting, and 80% are able to turn sports betting into a full fledged career. Furthermore, sports betting is a low risk endeavor, as only 5% of betters experience a net negative loss over the duration of their gambling career, and that includes people who foolishly give up after losing their first bet.

Furthermore, Upper School division head Ricky Lapidus claims that one of the buildings in the new South Campus will be solely dedicated to the School’s soon-to-be introduced sports gambling program, where the School will teach upper schoolers the best way to construct their bets and make a career off of gambling. Lapidus commented, “Sports gambling and teaching kids how to gamble properly is the future of education. Our mission at the School is to teach these young students the best ways to quickly make money.”

However, sports betting is not just practical for young adults trying to make it big, it is also enjoyable. You can now watch games with an increased sense of excitement and anticipation knowing that you have money on the line. In a survey of 16 kids that was  conducted by the Hawk’s Eye, 100% of the subjects claimed that their sports watching experience has been more enjoyable since they began to bet on games.

An anonymous respondent added, “I just feel much more invested in the games I watch knowing that there is money at stake. Everything just feels more exciting and tense.”   In addition, a career in gambling requires less than an hour of work per day, so that extra time that you would have been doing homework can now be spent on hobbies of your choice.

To put sports betting into perspective, ESPN Stats and Information claims that the average gambler makes 1,000 dollars a night betting and spends about half an hour constructing their picks, roughly the same amount of time it takes to do half of a History 11 reading. Do you believe that half a History reading is worth 1,000 bucks? The answer seems relatively obvious.

Nancy Feidleman, the director of the Center for Community Engagement at the School, has stated that the School plans to have a school-sponsored trip to Las Vegas next spring. The trip will offer students a once in a lifetime opportunity to explore the headquarters of different sports betting markets and learn the behind the scenes of how betting values are assigned. The trip will also give aspiring bettors the chance to hone in on their skill and provide them with knowledge to help their gambling career down the line.

Kyong Pak, the School’s global studies coordinator added, “I feel like this trip is going to be the perfect chance for students to learn about gambling and sports betting in an experimental way. Making bets on your phone is definitely useful, but if students want to become master gamblers they need to experience the casinos of Las Vegas.”

In conclusion, sports betting is the perfect solution for stressed out Upper School students who are tired of excessive schoolwork. Sports betting is quick, extremely enjoyable, and has high reward with little risk, making it the perfect pastime or full fledged career for the School’s students.
