Black Widow

This is for all you avid Marvel fans out there! Starring Scarlett Johansson and up-and-coming star actress Florence Pugh, Black Widow travels back in time to follow Natasha Romanoff (aka Black Widow, Natalia Romanova) after the events of Captain America: Civil War. Diving into her backstory as an operative for the KGB and untangling her relationships with family, this movie is sure to be action-packed and star-studded.

Luca

Disney and Pixar’s latest animated film is about a young boy, Luca, and the adventures he shares with his best friend Alberto. The twist: they are actually sea monsters. Set on a seaside town by the Italian Riveria, the two boys work to hide their secret as they explore the surface world. With incredibly colorful and detailed animation, Pixar is sure to pull at your heartstrings once again through this lively coming-of-age movie.

Cruella

Calling all the Disney fanatics! You’re sure to love this movie starring legend Emma Stone as Cruella herself, as well as Emma Thompson and Emily Beecham. A spin on the classic 101 Dalmatians, Cruella takes the role of a young fashion designer who begins to grow a sick obsession with dalmatian furs. While the date is yet to be determined, the film will be released on Disney+ some time this summer.

Fast and Furious 9

The ninth movie in the Fast franchise, F9 is bound to attract many long-time fans. F9 takes place following the events of the Fate of the Furious. Dominic and his family face Dom’s younger brother Jakob, a dangerous assassin, who is secretly working with an old enemy and possesses a personal vendetta against Dominic. The film stars most of the regulars, along with Dom (Vin Diesel), Letty’s (Michelle Rodriguez) son, and Jakob (John Cena).

Stillwater

Featuring fan-favorite Matt Damon, Stillwater tells the story of an American father desperately trying to clear his daughter’s name after she has been falsely accused of murder while studying in Marseille, France. As every legal action is exhausted, viewers will see what lengths Bill Baker (Damon) will go to to prove his daughter’s innocence and exactly how much it will cost him. Putting family above all else, Stillwater emphasizes the relationships we create and keep, and will leave viewers with tear-stained cheeks.

In the Heights

For those of you who went (or are still going through) a Hamilton phase, this movie is just for you! By the famed Lin-Manuel Miranda, In the Heights focuses in on a multicultural working class community. This adaptation of the musical brings together romance, family, culture, and some pretty amazing dancing for a truly outstanding film.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

In for a scare? The third movie in The Conjuring series continues to follow paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, as they try to prove a murderer did not have free will when he committed his crime. Based on the real-life trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson, the first defendant to claim demonic possession, The Conjuring: Devil Made Me Do It may leave its audience frightened as they find out exactly what the devil made them do.
