Summer Job: Landscaping and gardening

Sam Wood-Soloff runs his own landscaping and gardening business year round, including in the summertime. 

“We go to peoples houses with pretty normal gardening supplies like rakes and leaf blowers and then complete a variety of tasks like weeding, tree trimming, roof cleaning, plant potting, and larger tasks like the installation of a stone path. Most clients are repeat customers, and they usually are very fair with break time and pay quite generously.”

Isabel Sade 

Grade 10 

Summer Job: Heads-Up tennis coach 

Isabel Sade is working as a Heads Up tennis coach alongside her teammates Clarisa Wolf Urzua, Mila Sirimongkolvit, and her coach Bob Manalo. The program begins on June 14 and ends on July 9, and she will be teaching middle school students from all different schools. “I am looking forward to coaching because I love playing tennis but do not have much experience coaching, so I am excited to learn more,” says Sade. 

Soraya Katzev 

Grade 11 

Summer Job: Veterinary assistant at the Grand Lake Veterinary

Soraya Katzev recently began her job at the Grand Lake Veterinary Hospital this year and will be continuing to work there this summer. “I assist the doctors with a variety of tasks, including caring for the dogs and cats, cleaning tools, and prepping areas,” says Katzev. As someone who loves animals and wants to pursue a career in the field, this summer job is a perfect fit for her!
