With the school year coming to a close, there are some unanswered questions floating around about what school will look like next year. Most importantly, what will the schedule for the next school year be?

Unfortunately, we will no longer have the Wednesday bridge day; we will be on campus five days a week. Shahana Sarkar, Dean of Academics and Community, said that this decision was made because “as far as actual teaching goes, we do better when we can be in person more often.”

Class periods will likely be from 65 to 70 minutes with a short break in between each block.

School will start at 8:30 a.m instead of 9 a.m next year. The main reason for this switch was the fact that the lower school students are already starting at 8:30 a.m and we need more uniformity, especially for parents driving their kids to school.

However, the schedule has not been completely finalized and is still subject to change in the future. Sarkar said, “The thing that I have learned this year is that everything is a draft until we try it.”
